The World of Terca Empty
PostSubject: The World of Terca   The World of Terca EmptyFri Feb 10, 2017 6:22 pm

Summary section--

Terca is roughly the size of Jupiter, and with 3.7x the gravitational force of our Earth. It is mostly covered in crystal, ice, and water. To be more exact, roughly 53% of the planet is covered by water, 27% by crystal, 14% by ice and 2% is land. The remaining percentage is unmapped forbidden zones. Four of the 79 continents are realms of ice, crystal and aether. 37 of them are floating continents in the sky, while 14 are floating atop the sea. 6 can be found underwater, while most can be found above the sea.

Most cities and town that still stand are protected by a giant crystal that creates a barrier against miasma.

Terminology --

World Map----

Frozen Plains of Ghjenuveffa Tear's - The northern most region of the Alticcia Contenant. A seemingly endless plain of ice and crystal surrounding the Lake of the Mother Crystal. The White Palace of Wings, and the Capital of Ishtanzel, Alita, is said to be here.

Aleria's Spine - A mountainous region. Once considered impassible and suicidal to attempt, the mountains surround the Deathlands of Adalbertu(the God of Death), to the west of the Abyss.
Temperatures reach absolute zero at the peaks, and during rapid temperature change, obsidian is said to rain down upon these mountains from black clouds that wander from the Abyss.

The mountains are mostly non-traversable due to the weather rapidly changing and poor footing. Only merchants and scholars have been known to pass through these mountains with good fortune. It is beleived that Aleria's Throne, is said to reside within these mountains.

Lake of the Mother Crystal - Cecilia's resting place inside the Grande Crystalia. A massive lake the size of Africa, which has never been fully explored. It was here that Cecillia fell from the sky, and into the lake. Soon after an enormous crystal tower shot towards the sky from the center, reaching for the heavens above. Above this tower exists a sky isle that serves as the Land of Sylva, the last safe land from the miasma.

The Ravenna Abyss - The hellspawn lands where the meteorite sleeps. The place where all miasma seeps from. The blight and curse upon this world. An unbiased, careless, absolute death. The Abyss is a long forgotten place in the world. Few who have reached it, ever returned to tell the tale. The insanity of visiting this place is grounds for execution in nearly every part of the world. This place is the origin of the poison killing the world and draining its life. The very poison that slaughters the gods and commits mass genocide with no goal other than the absolute death of all life.

The Abyss is the where the the black crystal meteorite crashed. No one remembers how long it has been since the world was free of miasma, but few claim to know. The Abyss lies passed the Miasma Stream of the Ultimate Element. Only those who have found the the Spring of Ghjenuveffa and blessed their chalice with her element may pass through this stream. Passing through with any other, grants a slow and painful, diseased and excruciating death.

The Abyss hosts no life that is not born of Miasma. Beasts and monsters of the vilest kind survive here, and prey on any foolish enough to wander. Black crystals are scattered across the abyss, and when a crystal that repels comes close, it instantly taints it and those within its protection feel every effect of miasma imaginable. The only hope is to break the crystal that corrupted it nearby. However, only one has survived this place. One, who faded into memory, and whom lost all memory. No legend, nor tale, exists in this world. Because, where the miasma is created, is the end of all things. An eraser of existence.

However, one being whom left this world does remember. Aleria, the Diu of Commerce and Philosophy.

Miasma Streams - The rivers of miasma that cover our world. The Miasma Streams are what keeps the miasma covering our world moving.. they are much akin to the winds of the world, blowing miasma across the globe and poisoning the world. Elementally aligned, one may only pass with the blessing of a crystal of the same element, as at the core of each stream is a powerful concentraition of miasma.

The World of Terca Empty
PostSubject: Re: The World of Terca   The World of Terca EmptyMon Aug 17, 2020 5:35 pm

This is a world that has ended. It slumbers, unaware of the fates its creatures have fallen victim to. The many races and animals of this world suffocate from miasma, and like stricken with sickness in every village. The world has come to its end, abandoned by Gods and Devils alike. Only the mortality of its inhabitants, and their will to carry on, are what delay the inevitable.

Its name, Terca Mirieza.

A death filled hollow shell, left over from a time of infinite crisis and traitorous deeds. A near-infinite sea of poisoned water, a wasteland of crystal surrounding the tower and last haven in the sky from the assured death below, a large glowing crystal in it’s city center. Its power wanes, and the area of its protection grows smaller.

This haven has come to its end. Yet, there is a chance for hope.

Deep in the Spine of Aleria, far below to the west of the Deathlands of Adalcorz, lies a place even beings of the underworld once feared before they too, disappeared form this world. A blight upon this world so great that Life and Death feared its being. The Ravenna Abyss. The hellspawn lands where the meteorite lay embedded in the planet’s very essence. It breathes Miasma, spewing it into the world and causing currents and streams of miasma to swirl around this world. Few remain who know of its location, let alone its existence.

The vilest of beasts roam this land, created from the corruption and death the black meteorite brought to this world upon impact. Those who have carried their chalice to this place soon found their crystal blighted, and the life drained from their being as they were devoured alive. However, these souls are forgotten. Miasma takes the memory of a souls being, and removes them from history. Those who have survived, are the sole reason the few who know this place exists are able to call forth the strength to find a way to save their world.

Even after their death, their bodies are burned to ensure the Miasma cannot remove their being from memory.

Now a new journey begins. A new caravan takes a crystal chalice and moves to return to this place and ensure salvation. They believe this world can be saved, and will continue on. They are bright and positive.

However… this is a world that has ended. This world is not worth saving, and only death and loss awaits them.
